Trust Seals 101 Everything You Should Know About Trust Seals

If you are on the path to creating an extraordinary online business or website, then you have probably looked into putting trust seals on your site. If you haven’t, or don’t even know what trust seals are, then you have a lot to learn about being successful online.

A trust seal or business verification seal is a small protective image that you display on the top portion (or ‘above the fold’ in computer geek language) of your website. The image stands for safety and security and is a symbol that you are a company that people can trust and that you have been verified and certified as a legitimate company by a third party. Trust seals are crucial to create a sense of trust between you and your clients and customers.

Similar to trust seals are privacy seals. Privacy seals verify to your customers that all of their information will be kept private, safe, and secure. Think about when you go onto a website; if it does not look safe are you going to make a purchase with them? I know that I would never do that, because I do not want to risk having my information compromised. I want my information to remain private, so that I can avoid identity theft as much as possible.

Another type of trust seals are security seals. Security seals tell your customers that all of their credit card information is processed by a secure company and will be kept confidential and only used for the current purchase, afterwards it will be disposed of securely or safe-guarded. These three key elements are essential to protecting your sites, and your customers’ information.

If you protect your website with business verification seals, privacy seals, and security seals, your online sales will drastically increase because your customers will feel safe with you. There are many companies that provide individual seals to website owners, but only one company that provides all three of them in a package. Trust is everything in a successful company, and the most important thing to know when it comes to online sales is that when people trust you, they will buy from you.

Choose From Three Membership Options

In order to offer stock, or negotiate to purchase stock through Independent Stock Market, an individual shareholder must qualify to become a member of ISM Member Services Company.
There are three types of memberships: Lifetime (or Gold Member), Monthly (or Silver Member) and Buy-Sell (or Bronze Member).
This qualifying process introduces a financial advisor to determine if the potential investor in the company can afford the purchase and the potential risk. This process will ensure that people are prudent in their investments. We want to avoid the gambling aspect some investors deploy, the all-or-nothing syndrome. What we don’t want to happen is for members to invest their grocery or emergency money.
In order to increase our potential trading volume, while better educating our members, we have created the membership marketing entity, ISM Member Services Company, that offers sound financial advice and training for its members. Training includes entrance to regional expos and seminars, estate planning assistance, online economic education videos, newsletters, a financial review from a financial advisor, quarterly magazines and more.
Independent Stock Market will offer access to posted shares for sale to all members of the membership marketing service entity, ISM Member Services Company. It will also offer the ability to trade stocks that are exclusively available. For Phase I members who purchase stock and are planning on moving to a non-qualified state, they must sell their stock.
ISM Member Services Company offers a Lifetime membership for a one-time fee of $1,000, or a Monthly, pay-as-you-learn membership for $197 up-front and $20 a month. Additionally we offer a complimentary Buy-Sell membership for trading purposes only.

The Pros and Cons of Private Placement Offerings

Sometimes business owners need money and they think private placement memorandums are the best choice. Private Placement Offerings (PPOs) have their time and place, but some business owners are unsure of when and where that is.
If your business is just getting started, a PPO might be a legitimate option. Although preparing PPOs by oneself is time-consuming and stress producing, preparing PPOs can help your business if you have family and friends that know that you need money and have the ability and desire to help you. PPOs probably can't help you if your family members or friends do not have the desire or the means to help you.
This is because PPOs require that the people involved know you. They must be associated with you or your company personally. They are called Private Placements because you must keep the information about the need for capital within your primary market and cannot use the general public to fulfill your needs.
If you are able to use friends and family, be as conservative as possible in your projections. One of the negative aspects of PPOs is that if you don't do what you say you're going to do, you might get a talking to at the office - but the heated and downbeat conversation also might spill over into family reunions.
If your friend or family member wants to invest by using a PPO, try to make an arrangement to return his investment that you will be happy with too. If he is asking for a high percentage of the company, for example, might not matter to you when you sign the contract - because you are getting the money you need. However, it will matter to you if he decides to sell it, or get a new manager, or introduce a new product that you are against selling.
For PPOs, most investors must be accredited. That means they need to have a net worth of more than a million dollars not including their homes. With today's economy the way it is, accredited investors can be difficult to find.
If you have been in business for more than two years, and your business is worth more than $2.5 million dollars, posting your business with the Independent Stock Market (ISM) is a much better option than a PPO. With ISM you can use accredited and non-accredited investors. You can advertise that you are looking for capital to the general public. You can use your sweat equity and initial investment to get the capital you need, without paying interest or giving up control of your business.
If you have a smaller business though, or have not been around long enough to qualify to post with ISM, the ISM Business Development Group can help prepare your company for a PPO so that you do not have to try to perform the process for yourself. Contact an ISM representative today.
